I'm a current student at NYU, where I'm working toward a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. I've always been passionate about working with peers in their studies. Teaching involves more than just helping out with tests and scores. It's necessary to build students' confidence and comfort, so that they can become intellectually independent outside of the classroom. I've tutored Science, Mathematics, and Reading to elementary school students of all levels, and I've tutored Chemistry and Calculus (including Advanced Placement) to high school youth. I can also tutor Trigonometry, Algebra, Multivariable Calculus, Arithmetic, among others. I also feel comfortable helping students prepare for the SATs and SAT subject tests in Chemistry and Math. I've come to see how different each student's learning style is. Some do well with visual aids and some folks need more help with foundations and basics. I work to find the best method for comprehension of material. I've developed a volunteer tutoring program with NYU, where undergrads are placed with elementary students. In my free time, I enjoy sailing, hiking, windsurfing, and oceanography.
